When visitors ask me how to truly unwind in Marrakech — away from the buzz of the Médina, out in the sun with a cold drink in hand — my mind goes straight to Famous Beach Marrakech. This beach club, set on the Route de l'Ourika at km 10, offers something very few places in the city can match: a complete, hassle-free pool party experience in a setting designed so you don't have to worry about a thing.

I've taken several groups there, and every single time the reaction at the end of the day is the same: "Why didn't we come sooner?" That's exactly why I'm writing about it here.

What's included — and it's generous

What I particularly appreciate about Famous Beach is how straightforward the package is. Depending on the option you choose, you get a private bed or private jacuzzi, with a dedicated attendant for your space. No rushing to the bar or queuing: your spending credit is included and covers drinks, cocktails, food and even shisha. Towels are provided, and access to the main pool is included.

In practice, you arrive, you settle in, and the day truly begins. It's exactly that kind of detail that makes all the difference when you want to enjoy yourself without thinking about the bill after every order.

The free shuttle: a real logistical comfort

Famous Beach runs a free daily shuttle from four pick-up points across Marrakech. I think this is one of the venue's greatest assets, especially for those who aren't renting a car:

• KFC Guéliz: departures at 12:15, 14:15 and 15:25
• Secret Room: departures at 12:20, 14:20 and 15:30
• Menara Mall (outside Paul): departures at 12:25, 14:25 and 15:35
• 555 Hotel Clubbing: departures at 12:35, 14:35 and 15:45

Return journeys are organised at 18:00 and 19:00 (a few minutes' variation possible depending on traffic). Private transport is also available on request if you prefer more flexibility.

The VIP spaces: private beds and jacuzzis

What sets Famous Beach apart is the premium beach club atmosphere you feel from the moment you arrive. The private beds are comfortable and well spaced out, and the private jacuzzis add a spa dimension to the day. The dedicated service at your own space creates a luxury resort feel, just a few kilometres from the city centre.

For a birthday, a hen party, a day out with friends or simply a day for yourself, the VIP space genuinely changes the whole tone of the experience. I especially recommend it for groups who want to make it a real occasion.

What you need to know before booking

A few practical points to keep in mind so your day goes smoothly:

• Minimum age: 18 — access is reserved for adults.
• Booking is required, at least 5 days before your chosen date. A 15% deposit is requested via secure payment link or instant bank transfer; the balance is settled on-site in cash or by card.
• Cancellation policy: no refund or cancellation is possible within the 5 days preceding your booked date. Worth bearing in mind if your schedule is uncertain.
• For a last-minute request, the best approach is to contact them directly on WhatsApp to check availability in real time.

Any spending beyond your included credit, tips (optional) and additional services remain at your own expense — nothing surprising, but good to know in advance.

My advice if you're still on the fence

Marrakech in summer can be intense. The Médina, the souks, the cultural sights — all of it takes energy and deserves to be savoured. But a day at Famous Beach is the perfect counterpoint: you come back into the city rested, clear-headed, ready to dive back into the energy of the city.
