Gemstones, beads and expert hands: in Guéliz, a one-of-a-kind workshop lets you create your own bracelet. A gentle, memorable experience in Marrakech.
A souvenir you made with your own hands
When I plan a stay in Marrakech for my visitors, I'm always looking for the experience that will genuinely surprise them — not another calèche ride, but something they can't find anywhere else and will truly take home with them. The Atelier Création de Bracelet à Marrakech ticks every box. You leave with a piece of jewellery you chose, assembled and tied yourself. That's a completely different story from buying something at the souk.
The workshop takes place in Guéliz, in Marrakech. Nathalie welcomes you and guides you through every step of the session with truly personalised attention. She knows her stones inside out and knows how to tailor her advice to each participant, beginner or not.
Two hours to learn how to read the stones
The workshop lasts between 1h30 and 2h — just enough time to settle into the slow rhythm of jewellery-making without rushing. All materials are provided: gemstones, beads, threads, tools. You don't need to bring a thing, just your desire to create.
You start by choosing your stones. And that's where the magic happens. Nathalie explains the properties and origins of each stone, and suddenly you're no longer looking at a simple coloured pebble — you see a story, an origin, an energy. Amethyst, lapis lazuli, carnelian… This workshop reconnects you with that tradition in the most beautiful way.

A caring guide, a truly personal creation
What I love most about this workshop is its intimate format: 6 people maximum. You're not in a tourist factory. You take your time, you chat with Nathalie, you try things out, you start again, and in the end the bracelet is truly yours — down to the smallest detail.
The guidance is personalised at every stage: choosing the stones, assembling, finishing. Nothing is left to chance, and yet nothing is imposed. It's your taste, your intention, your bracelet. For a group of friends, a mother and daughter, or even a couple, it's a way to share a gentle, creative moment, far from the bustle of the médinas.

Practical: what you need to know before booking
The workshop is open from age 13, provided that minors are accompanied by a participating adult. Groups can be between 2 and 6 people — a perfect size for everyone to benefit from Nathalie's attention.
Booking must be made at least 5 days before the desired date and is only confirmed from 2 participants. A deposit of €17 per person is required at the time of booking, via a secure payment link. The balance — €48 or 480 MAD per person — is paid in cash directly on the day of the workshop. If your plans change, cancellation is free up to 5 days before the session. After that, the deposit is non-refundable.
Transport is not included, but can be arranged on request via WhatsApp — handy if you're coming from further afield in the city.

My guide's tip: combine it with other creative experiences
This workshop fits perfectly into a themed day around Moroccan crafts and flavours. I often combine it with a Cours de Cuisine Marocaine au Musée des Arts Culinaires for a 100% creative day — hands in the dough in the morning, hands in the stones in the afternoon. If you're travelling with a group of women, it also pairs beautifully with a wellness session like the Hammam & Massage à Guéliz.
This bracelet — you'll have made it in Marrakech, guided by a passionate expert, surrounded by stones from the four corners of the world. It's the kind of souvenir you never put in a drawer.
