How I discovered Beach Mama

The first time I set foot in Beach Mama Marrakech, it was a Tuesday in November. Outside, the city was humming along as it always does, but inside this pool club nestled within the Jardins de l'Atlas, time seemed to stand still. The pool shimmered with an intense blue, the air smelled of sun cream, and a gentle music drifted across the water. I thought to myself: this is a place I'm going to share with every single one of my visitors.

Since then, it has become an address I always slip into my itineraries — whether for a group of friends on a getaway, a couple on a romantic trip, or even families with teenagers. Entry is open from age 14.

What sets Beach Mama apart from many other pool clubs in the area is a promise that holds true over time: the pool is heated to 30°C all year round, without exception. It's a detail that changes absolutely everything, especially if you're travelling outside the summer months. In March, in October, even in January — the water is perfect and the pleasure is complete. I've lost count of the number of visitors who arrived sceptical and left enchanted, unable to drag themselves out of the pool.

The venue is located on the Route de l'Ourika, at kilometre 13, in the lush setting of the Jardins de l'Atlas — a place where you feel far from everything, yet still close to Marrakech.

The private bed: the secret ingredient of comfort

What I love most about Beach Mama is the private bed package. Depending on the zone you choose, you have a reserved space for two people, with bath towels included. No more scrambling for a shaded spot on a scorching poolside chair. Here, you set down your things, settle in, and truly enjoy yourself.

For the groups I take there — hen parties in particular — it's an accessible luxury that turns a simple day out into a real escape. The girls arrive, they find their space, and they don't move an inch. That's exactly what we're looking for.

The atmosphere: DJ sets and live sessions

Beach Mama offers more than just a beautiful pool. The musical atmosphere is carefully curated, with DJ sets and live sessions that give the day its rhythm without ever overwhelming it. The volume is just right: you can dance, sing along, or simply let the music carry you while sipping something cool ordered à la carte. Food and drinks are available as extras directly on site, with a selection that satisfies the appetite after a few lengths of the pool.

There's a genuine energy here — festive but never overwhelming. It's one of the rare places where I feel equally at home with a group of friends as with couples who simply want to switch off.

What I always include when booking

One important thing to know: you need to book at least 5 days in advance to guarantee availability. A 10% deposit per bed is required at the time of booking, and the balance is settled in cash directly on site. If your plans change, cancellation is free up to 5 days before the booked date — after that, the deposit is unfortunately non-refundable.

Transport to Beach Mama can be arranged as an extra on request, which is very handy if you don't have your own vehicle. I always recommend sorting this out at the time of booking.

My verdict after dozens of visits

The Beach Mama Marrakech – Pool Club, Piscine Chauffée is one of those rare addresses that delivers on its promises every single time. The pool heated to 30°C, the private beds, the included towels and the musical atmosphere make for a complete experience with no nasty surprises. It's the kind of relaxing day every visitor deserves, whatever the season.
